Katrina Class Action Status Against State Farm Denied

This news got overshadowed last week by Judge Senter’s decision in the Leonard case, but it’s noteworthy enough to deserve its own post this week.  It’s tough to argue with Senter on this.  His decisions so far have largely validated important policy provisions, and left the front lines of the fight over the facts of damage in each case, which vary considerably.  It’s hard to have a class action when the class members have little in common.
